Shiseido focuses on “Sustainability Management”, establishing new sustainability functions within its major departments to drive the strategic actions it is taking to solve material issues.
As Associated Partner in SurfToGreen, it provides the common cosmetic formulations (lotion, emulsion, cream, cleansing…) using sustainable ingredients for cosmetic fields, in particular DDS, Encapsulation, and Biopolymer to applicate for industrial end users.
Taku Ogura-Senior Researcher
Taku Ogura holds a PhD from Tokyo University of Science in applied chemistry. He started working in 2005 at LION Corp. where he has developed novel surface chemistry applicated for Fabric detergents, Fabric softener, Eye drops and Toothpaste products using structural analysis in solutions. In 2019 he started chemical business unit director and research promotion division director at NIKKO chemicals, working on research, development and sales of novel surface-Active Agent for industrial fields. Since 2024 he is working as R&D Manager at Shiseido. He has published 50+ papers. He received the Technology award from Japan Colloid Society.
